Job Description:
I am partnered with an Electrical Contractor who is looking to
add an Electrical Superintendent to their growing team.
Superintendents manage the labor, materials, and production of one
or more projects. Electrical Superintendent position with an
Electrical Contractor in San Antonio. Experience in Commercial
projects up to 20M in electrical value is required. Tasks (Day to
day work activities) Examine and inspect work progress, equipment,
and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that
specifications are met. Read specifications such as blueprints to
determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
Estimate and order material and evaluate worker requirements to
complete jobs. Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities
of workers. Confer with managerial and technical personnel, other
departments, and contractors in order to resolve problems and to
coordinate activities. Record information such as personnel,
production, and operational data on specified forms and reports.
Assign work to employees, based on material and worker requirements
of specific jobs. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical
or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and
fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Diagnose and inspect
systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand
tools. Advise management on whether continued operation of
equipment could be hazardous. Maintain current electrician's
license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and
fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes. Prepare
sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring
and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety
codes. Work scheduled hours including overtime and weekends if
necessary. Respond to and work when requested by management. Arrive
on time and leave at the end of the shift. Follow safety rules and
notify supervision or others when a safety hazard is observed.
Knowledge (Comprehension of facts and principles to succeed in this

Clients, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors,
co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail,
or in person. Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work -
Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and
accomplish your work. Skills (Developed capacities that facilitate
successful performance) Active Listening - Giving full attention to
what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points
being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting
at inappropriate times. Professionalism - Communicating
respectfully, avoiding derogatory language, dressing appropriately,
and affirming instruction. Zero tolerance for harassment. Reading
Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in
work-related documents. Troubleshooting - Determining causes of
operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Equipment
Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to

Managing one's own time and the time of others. Active Learning -
