CCC Group Inc. is seeking an Estimator I to join our Preconstruction team! This is an outstanding early-career opportunity for individuals who want hands-on training, career growth, and exposure to exciting industrial projects across Florida. As an Estimator I, you’ll support our Senior Estimators by gathering and analyzing data, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating vendor quotes, and helping prepare accurate cost estimates for small to mid-size industrial projects. What You’ll Do Position Overview The Estimator manages the full estimating lifecycle for industrial construction projects, from opportunity review through proposal submittal and project handoff. This role partners closely with project teams, project controls, vendors, and subcontractors to develop accurate, competitive, and well-documented estimates while managing risk during the pre-construction phase. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Pre-Construction Management Log new opportunities, review RFQs, and compile project information to support bid/no-bid decisions Maintain organized communication and documentation with customers, vendors, and subcontractors Develop preliminary order-of-magnitude estimates to support early risk assessments Follow company project controls and estimating standards to manage pre-construction risk Estimate Development Review project documents, attend bid meetings, and participate in jobsite walkthroughs Prepare scope clarifications and submit RFIs to resolve unclear work scopes Develop work breakdown structures and perform quantity takeoffs Create subcontractor and vendor bid packages and evaluate pricing Compile estimates using company estimating software and standard methodologies Validate labor productivity with project teams and Project Controls Obtain accurate equipment rental and purchase pricing Coordinate with scheduling teams to align scope, sequencing, and schedule assumptions Lead estimating reviews with project teams and management, including corporate reviews as required Prepare and submit complete proposal packages in accordance with RFQ requirements Support negotiations and clarifications through project award Project Handover & Support Transfer awarded estimates and scope documentation to the execution team Lead formal project handover meetings Support project teams with change order pricing and estimate revisions as needed Required Qualifications Field or Project Experience (One of the following): Minimum of 5 years of on-site experience in concrete, structural steel, process piping, boiler work, millwright, or electrical disciplines OR Minimum of 5 years supporting Project Management or Project Engineering with experience in cost control, scheduling, or change management Technical & Office Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe/Bluebeam Experience with estimating, scheduling, or project management software preferred Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and means Construction math skills, including basic geometry and trigonometry Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Work Eligibility Ability to work in all U.S. states Ability to pass customer-required background checks If you're ready to grow your estimating career with a respected industry leader— apply today!
