Responsible for the contracting, expansion, strategy, and implementation of a robust summer conferences program, this position will be responsible for supervising a full-time Coordinator for Conference Sales and building a cohesive business strategy aimed at expanding the program. This position will report to the Associate Director for Occupancy Management in the Housing Administrative Services unit.Job DutiesProgram Management (50%)+ Oversee the implementation of StarRez software to engage in streamlining conference business processes.+ Provide reports to Director of the Housing Administrative Services and Executive Director of Housing and Residential Life regarding the booking process, the status of the program, and revenue monthly.+ Ensure the health of the program on all levels from contracting through completion of summer camp or conference.+ Actively work with campus partners to manage existing camps and expand relationships with an eye toward future partnerships.+ Ensure proper communication with all units within Housing and Residential Life to ensure proper operations.Program Execution (30%)+ Directly oversee conference operations for all campus and conferences with appropriate support staff, including new student orientation, during the camps and conference season.+ Ensure all client and customer needs are met to provide a high-level customer experience.Long Range Planning (20%)+ Oversee the implementation of the consulting report to increase revenue and exposure for the department and institution.+ Develop long-range conference calendars designed to enhance the attraction of clients and allow for planning and movement of the program with an eye toward growth.Supervision (20%)+ Directly supervise one Coordinator for Sales and Marketing.+ Supervise 2-4 full-time staff during the summer months to execute conference operations.+ Supervise 30-40 student staff during the summer months to execute conference operations.+ Opportunity to hire summer interns for supervision.Additional Information to ApplicantsJob Open Date10/14/2022Job Close Date (posting closes at midnight)11/11/2022Open Until FilledNoNormal Work DaysNormal Work Hours Start8:00AMNormal Work Hours End5:00PMPosting NoticesYou will be required to electronically attach a resume, cover letter, and list of references to your application.Legal and Required NoticesTexas State University is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, committed to inclusive thought and action in support of our diverse community.
