Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos. As a key member of our healthcare team, the RN assesses, implements, and evaluates total nursing care, providing direction and supervision to entry-level nurses. With a strong focus on continuity of care, the RN works collaboratively with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless patient care.Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate nursing care, delegating tasks as needed
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance to entry-level nurses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practicesRequirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • One year of experience in nursing preferred
  • Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS required at time of hire for experienced RNs
  • PALS required at time of hire for experienced RNs
  • Crisis intervention training required within 12 months of hire/transfer date
  • TNCC required within 6 weeks of hire for experienced RNsWork Environment:CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos is a 178-bed acute care hospital serving the San Marcos community.
