Health Informatics Solution ArchitectThe Health Informatics
Solution Architect is a highly experienced professional responsible
for providing subject expertise to support growth initiatives
within the organization. The role involves developing winning
proposals by leveraging existing knowledge and expertise in the
defense and intelligence sectors. The Solutions Architect will
actively lead the technical response to success, coordinate
proposal development activities, and ensure high-quality content
for proposals and other corporate materials. This position requires
strong analytical skills, excellent written communication, and the
ability to maintain constructive working relationships in a
cross-cultural environment.Compensation & Benefits:Estimated
Starting Salary Range for Health Informatics Solution Architect:
$120,000.00 to $204,000. Pay commensurate with experience. Full
time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other
possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with
or without notice.Health Informatics Solution Architect
Responsibilities Include:
- Engage with Sr. Executive Level government customers, identify
key areas of concern or risk, and architect innovative clinical and
bioinformatics solutions that integrate advanced clinical, genomic,
and bioinformatics capabilities to improve healthcare delivery and
public health outcomes.
- Shape strategies for leveraging electronic health records
(EHRs), health information exchange, and clinical decision support
tools to enhance value-based care and patient engagement.
- Advocate for and implement solutions that address workflow
optimization, data intelligence, interoperability, cybersecurity,
and compliance with public health standards.
- Solution Development
- Design scalable systems for analyzing and integrating clinical
and genomic data, including workflows for disease detection,
population health management, and outbreak response.
- Build tools and methodologies for incorporating bioinformatics
insights into public health programs and clinical workflows.
- Support projects that align genomic innovations with existing
federal health IT ecosystems, including EHR platforms and cloud
environments.
- Public Health Applications
- Develop clinical informatics solutions that support
biosurveillance, epidemiological modeling, and disease prevention
programs.
- Integrate health data with clinical, public health, and
operational health systems to provide actionable insights for
federal agencies.
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare
providers, epidemiologists, and data scientists, to deliver
impactful solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and foster expertise in clinical
informatics and health IT innovation within Cherokee Federal.
- Innovation & Research
- Stay ahead of trends in clinical informatics, genomics, and
health IT to ensure Cherokee Federal remains a leader in federal
healthcare solutions.
- Publish findings and present thought leadership to federal
clients and industry stakeholders.--- Perform other job-related
duties as assigned.Health Informatics Solution Architect
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Education: Advanced degree (Masters preferred) in Clinical
Informatics, Health IT, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in clinical informatics and/or
bioinformatics with significant exposure to EHR (Oracle Cerner) and
bioinformatics applications in public health or healthcare
settings.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of EHR modernization, health IT
standards (e.g., FHIR, OMOP), and clinical decision support
systems. Experience integrating health data with clinical workflows
and public health programs. Proficiency in relevant programming
languages (e.g., Python, R) and health data analytics tools.
Demonstrated leadership in federal health projects, particularly
with HHS, DHA, or similar agencies.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and
collaboration skills with a proven ability to deliver results in
complex, multidisciplinary environments.Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of federal contracting processes and proposal
development.
- Experience with clinical and bioinformatics tools, cloud
platforms, and cybersecurity practices.
- Familiarity with epidemiological modeling and its integration
with clinical informatics.
- Proven ability to deeply understand and champion client
missions, ensuring alignment with their objectives.
- Experience working across teams and disciplines to create
innovative and effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate challenges with creative and
impactful strategies.
- Focus on long-term value creation and sustainability in project
design and execution.
- Commitment to serving end-users and stakeholders, ensuring
their needs drive solution development.
