Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: RRT Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights/Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RRT License Certifications: Adult respiratory experience in an acute care setting Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a backfill contract position for a Respiratory Therapist. The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00. There is no call required. The unit is staffed with a supervisor and 7-9 staff members on each shift. Patient ratio assignments are based on volume, typically handling about 35-40 patients per shift. Standard respiratory therapy procedures performed include nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gases, ventilator management, inhaled nitric oxide, bronchoscopy assistance, intubation assistance, and transporting patients with mechanical ventilation within the facility. The ideal candidate should easily collaborate with team members in the respiratory therapy department as well as other disciplines in the facility. The dress code includes olive green tops and black pants. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and a supportive team environment. Candidates with adult critical care experience in an ICU or Emergency Department will be prioritized.
