ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Acute Care Case Management for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Acute Care Case Management - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Case Mgmt Job Details: • 13-week contract assignment • Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM per department details) • No on-call requirements • Rotating weekends every other weekend • Patient ratio of 1:30 (RN to patient) • Minimum 1 year of bedside case management experience required • Meditech or HCA experience required • Post acute care knowledge required • Meditech/Midas or HCA experience preferred • Throughput experience preferred • Work with computer and standard office equipment • Use Meditech/Midas EMR system • Perform discharge planning and progression coordination • Conduct difficult conversations with families, patients, and collaborate with physicians on care plans • Must have strong personality for challenging conversations • Must be adaptable and proactive • Dress code: Navy scrubs with white lab coat OR business casual with white lab coat, closed toe shoes required (no crocs or fake nails) • Work across various units including ICU, Observation, Telemetry, PCU, Neuro, and Ortho Facility: This major medical center features comprehensive case management services with a team of 15 RNs and 15 social workers. The facility operates multiple specialized units including ICU, observation, telemetry, progressive care, neurology, and orthopedic units.
