Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Respiratory Therapist to join our pool team at our inpatient
rehabilitation hospitals. This role offers the chance to work in a
dynamic environment wherein patient health and comprehensive care
are our top priorities. Our Respiratory Therapists are instrumental
in providing treatment, support, and care for patients with
breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. As a part of our
team, you will work across various settings, ensuring the highest
level of care in line with our commitment to excellence in a
comprehensive healthcare system. Assess patient health needs and
implement appropriate respiratory care plans. Operate and manage
life support mechanical ventilation systems. Educate patients and
families about lung health and disease prevention. Collaborate with
a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive healthcare delivery.
Conduct diagnostic tests to measure lung capacity. Proficient in
using medical software for respiratory care and diagnostics. Strong
understanding of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle
stressful situations and make informed clinical decisions. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified
Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential is required. Registered
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory
Care (NBRC) preferred.
