Location: Georgetown, TX Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)
Compensation: $85,000 - $113,000/year (based on experience) Sign-On
Bonus: Up to $15,000 Position Overview A well-regarded acute care
hospital north of Austin, TX is seeking a Med Surg Nursing Manager
to lead its 45-bed Med Surg unit. This hands-on leadership role
ensures high-quality patient care, staff development, and
operational efficiency while maintaining a strong presence on the
floor. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Med Surg unit,
ensuring safe, patient-centered care Supervise and mentor nursing
staff, including delegation and performance evaluations Round on
patients and staff daily to maintain high standards and support
team needs Oversee compliance with hospital policies, procedures,
and regulatory standards Monitor unit performance metrics and
participate in quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with
hospital leadership and other departments to optimize patient care
Required Qualifications BSN from an accredited school of nursing
Current RN license in Texas (or compact license eligibility)
Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience Strong leadership
skills and the ability to be hands-on when necessary BLS
certification Additional Information Reports to Director of Med
Surg (overseeing 3 Med Surg units) Unit size: 45 beds with a
variety of diagnoses Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation
