As a CT Scan Technologist at Ascension, you will play a critical role in our mission to empower communities and improve health outcomes through advanced diagnostic procedures. Perform complex computed tomography (CT) scanning procedures on patients as prescribed by physicians while ensuring patient safety. Explain CT procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide comfort and support throughout the imaging process. Operate CT equipment, monitor patient status, and adjust scanning techniques as needed. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality guidelines. Implement radiation safety procedures to comply with government regulations and ensuring the well-being of patients and staff. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to optimize patient care and workflow within the department. Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities. Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot CT imaging equipment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Attention to detail in following physician instructions and carrying out scanning procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of radiology information systems (RIS) and PACS. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT. Valid and current state license as required.
