Nurse Practitioner opening in TXLocated in Port Lavaca, 90m to Corpus ChristiFull Time PositionPosition Description:The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients. Key responsibilities include recording patient medical histories, evaluating patients, and formulating diagnosis and treatment plans related to women's health and other conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will consult with the supervising physician when appropriate and follow provided instructions for patient care and treatments. Additionally, the role involves performing necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as completing physical examinations, including pelvic and rectal exams when appropriate. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Education:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with appropriate nurse practitioner credentials.Experience in Women s Health, including Obstetrics and Gynecology, is required.Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Women's Health Care is preferred.Must possess a current license to practice in the State of Texas by the Texas Board of Nursing.Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.Experience:Minimum of one year performing an expanded role in the delivery of primary care or at least one year of experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.One year of Labor and Delivery experience as a licensed Registered Nurse is required.Similar or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of the requirements listed above.
