Job DescriptionTime Type :Full timeRole Details :SUMMARYSupervise multiple on-going and specialty projects. Supervise field staff and develop work plans and schedules to ensure smooth, on time performance of project, within budget.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned .Produces time and action charts and supervises installation of new store fixtures and displaysCoordinates activities of contractors, departments, and other individuals involved in the projectControls paperwork and asset movement from stores, to storage, to other stores. Keeps storage warehouse secure, neat, and cleanDetermines staff assignments and communicates performance standards. Provides frequent and specific feedback on performance and identifies developmental needsEnsures positive communications are maintained between the Department and store management to keep informed of project progress and impact on store operationsPurchases all required assets for new stores. Interfaces existing assets with new requirements to best utilize company assets. Shops installation and fabrication jobs to ensure that McCoy's remains competitiveCalculates funds required to support direct expenses for planned activities, formulate yearly budget proposal and present to the Project Manager for inclusion in Department budget. Monitors spending and ensure expenses are within budgeted amountsFollows industry and store planning trends both locally and nationally through trade journals, seminars, and professional AssociationsResponds to questions from Regional Managers, Store Managers and senior management regarding current projectsManages implementation of planogram and labeling process, at a single or multiple openingsDevelops and trains store level personnel on proper procedures on specified projects and installationsSchedules merchandise arrival in concert with merchandise services and buying staffOversees scheduling and installation of the following: corporate and vendor displays, headers, graphics, and point of purchaseSchedules all vendor support and assumes responsibility for arrival of McCoy's personnel relative to planograming processCommunicates with Store Manager and Project Manager to insure that sufficient personnel will be on hand for labeling and planograming processEnsures that all sales support areas are retail readyCommunicating with Purchasing Agent to insure that all graphic and image perimeter items listed are ordered and in place prior to openingWorks in concert with planogram department to procure and organize all schematics and labels for new store openingsAssumes bottom line responsibility for 100% completion of all pre-opening activitiesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitates, supervises, and approves assigned projects to temporary and contract labor. Determines staff assignments and communicates performance standards. Provides frequent and specific feedback on performance and identifies developmental needsQUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers or employees of the organizationAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formWORK AVAILABILITYMust maintain regular and acceptable attendance, at such level as is determined by managementMust be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week or such other hours per day or hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needsMust be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires frequent travel with overnight stays, including on-call support for after hours serviceMust meet driver's license requirements as required by the CompanyMust be able to legally obtain a rental vehicle in all states in which the company does businessMust have current auto liability insurancePHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
