Description: JOB DESCRIPTION FOR LAUNDRESS QUALIFICATIONS: High
school education preferred Must be able to read, write, and follow
directions Some laundry experience preferred Willing to learn
on-the-job method Knowledge of commercial laundry processes,
equipment, and procedures for both washing and ironing materials
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for washing laundry in a manner that
will not damage either machine or garments, washing contaminated
linens separately if necessary, avoiding overloading machines.
Reports malfunctions of equipment Willingness to perform routine
tasks on a continuous basis. Ability to keep up with flow of work.
Works under close supervision of the supervisor. Handles, stores,
processes and transports all linens so as to prevent the spread of
infection WORK PERFORMED: Washes garments and linens as necessary
in an electrically powered washing machine. Places clothes in drum
of washer and adjusts valves to admit water of proper temperature.
Adds soap or other solutions at appropriate times. Starts drum
rolling and stops machine after articles have been washed and
rinsed. Transfers washed clothes from washer to dryer and to
baskets for distribution. Hangs finished garments on hangers or
folds and stacks garments. Distributes clothes to residents’ rooms.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor. Wears
gloves at all times when handling dirty linen. Washes hands after
contact with any soiled linen. JOB KNOWLEDGE: How to use common
laundry techniques How to handle soaps and softeners as necessary

Schulenburg, Texas Shift: Evening Shift (2:00 PM – 8 PM, may vary),
4 on 2 off schedule Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary:
The Evening Laundry Worker is responsible for ensuring that all
linens, personal clothing, and facility laundry are properly
collected, cleaned, dried, folded, and distributed in a timely and
sanitary manner. This role supports infection control standards and
helps maintain a clean, comfortable environment for residents. Key
Responsibilities: Collect soiled linens and clothing from
designated areas following proper infection control procedures Sort
laundry by type, color, and washing requirements Operate commercial
washers and dryers safely and efficiently Fold, organize, and
distribute clean laundry to appropriate resident rooms and
departments Label and track residents’ personal clothing to prevent
loss Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control policies in
compliance with Texas SNF regulations Report equipment malfunctions
or supply shortages to supervisor Assist with other housekeeping
duties as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
preferred Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a
healthcare setting is a plus, but not required Ability to follow
written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and
organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of
a team Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and
lift for extended periods Must be able to lift up to 30–50 pounds
regularly Ability to push/pull laundry carts Work Environment:
Indoor setting within a healthcare facility Exposure to heat from
laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals Must adhere to strict
hygiene and infection control standards Additional Requirements:
