What You'll Be Doing:

--- Leading family law cases from start to finish-no second chair here!
--- Handling divorce, will contests, prenuptial agreements, mediation, paternity, child custody, alimony, and property division with precision.
--- Advocating fiercely in cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, hidden assets, and complex custody disputes.
--- Bringing strategic thinking and compassion to every case you touch.

This is NOT an entry-level position. You must have a Texas bar license in good standing and experience in Texas family law. We need a battle-ready litigator who can hit the ground running! It is also not a remote position. We need you available to collaborate, share your energy, and discuss issues with team members in the office when you are not in court.

Responsibilities:
--- Serve people with Compassion and always put the well-being of children first
--- Strictly observe deadlines and billable hour requirements
--- Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed
--- Represent clients in court proceedings as first chair when needed
--- Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up-to-date
--- Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
--- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
--- Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
--- Serve people with Compassion and always put the well-being of children first
--- Strictly observe deadlines and billable hour requirements
--- Work as a Team for the Growth of the Law Firm

Qualifications:

--- Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years; handling of real estate also required
--- Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high
--- Bachelor's degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
--- Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants
--- Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
--- Must be licensed to practice law in good standing in Texas for at least 5 years
--- Must have prior litigation experience and success
--- Must have high moral and ethical standards
--- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a litigation role
--- Must have a passionate desire to help families in child custody fights and domestic violence cases
--- Must maintain a positive attitude even under stress
--- Must be a true team player, willing to pitch in and contribute wherever needed
