Job Description:

As a Border Patrol Agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), you will play a critical role in enforcing immigration and customs regulations along the United States borders. This challenging position involves tracking and apprehending individuals who may attempt to breach U.S. border control, preventing illegal trafficking of goods and people, and ensuring safe, lawful entry into the United States. Serving in this role demands dedication, vigilance, and a steadfast commitment to securing the nations borders against potential threats. Patrol international land borders and coastal waters to prevent illegal entry and smuggling activities Detect, prevent, and apprehend undocumented aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the land borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions Perform line-watch duties, traffic check operations, city patrols, transportation checks, and other law enforcement duties as assigned Prepare comprehensive reports on each case captured or incident occurred Testify in court to present evidence or act as a witness in traffic and illegal immigration cases Conduct vehicle stops and checks, and search vehicles and belongings for contraband or hidden persons Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a variety of environmental conditions Proficiency in the use of firearms and various forms of surveillance and tracking equipment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an emphasis on quick decision-making under pressure Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of diffusing confrontations Competence in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is highly desirable Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Completion of a rigorous training program at the U.S. Border Patrol Academy Pass a thorough background check and drug screening Meet strict physical, mental, and moral fitness standards Possession of a valid driver's license Ability to legally carry a firearm
