Work Hours/Shift: Full-Time / Days You Will Be
Follows care plan for improving resident strength and abilities
in improving and/or maintaining independence and attaining their
highest level of independence.
Organizes time to provide Restorative nursing care to residents
as assigned, which include:
Range of Motion
Restorative Dining Programs
Special Use of Adaptive Devices and Prosthesis
Routine ADL training as appropriate
Assisting residents with positioning and maintaining good body
Participates on the Skin Care Team
Participate in the continence program
Works closely with the nurses and therapists to meet restorative
Follows therapy recommendations.
Monitors use of adaptive equipment, including wheelchairs and
walkers. Follows the facility’s process when repairs or
improvements are necessary.
Maintains restorative supplies and equipment in good repair and
stored in a neat and efficient manner.
Documents the restorative care provided to each resident
Documents a weekly progress note including but not limited to
each resident’s abilities and performance.
Attends care conferences as assigned.
Provides assessment information to the RN completing the MDS
Attends staff education, training and other required
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

What You Will Need: Must be 18 years of age or older
Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from a certified
instructor requiring live return demonstration, such as the
American Heart Association is preferred, and required to be
obtained within the first 30 days after employment
Certified Nursing Assistant License or meets one of the
following criteria that will result in certification within 120
days of employment:
certified as a CNA in another state and is awaiting
certification by reciprocity in current state
Has completed and has proof of passing a certification exam, but
is still awaiting the actual Certified Nursing Assistant
Job Summary: Provides Restorative Nursing measures to
assist residents to reach their highest level of independence in
Activities of Daily Living.
