Role Details:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

CUSTOMER DATABASES:

  • Maintain and improve data quality in the company's proprietary customer databases including MAC21 Customer Master and Customer-Rich Database (CRD).
  • Add and audit information on customer accounts
  • Add and remove Commercial Sales Rep assignments to customers
  • Assign, maintain, and audit marketing IDs (to customer pro accounts)
  • Provide oversight and instruction to employees at retail store locations, as well as, Marketing team members concerning customer data and accounts
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to customer accounts
  • Maintain customer Price Plan Program in MAC21 for initial price plan set-up and in customer accounts for adding price plans to existing accounts
  • Add, remove and maintenance customer price plans
  • Maintain and update marketing business rules for consistency in team processing

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS:

  • Continually learn about our industry and company and develop reports that help our company stakeholders make business decisions
  • Use critical judgment to evaluate inquiry results, draw conclusions and present recommendations to management
  • Enable data-driven decision making from analysis
  • Leverage and interpret customer/marketing/transactional data to measure and optimize marketing effectiveness

  • Prepare all customer/sales related report requests, collaborating with other departments, operations, and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Measure impact of marketing initiatives and track results of various campaigns
  • Provide monthly and other automated reports to the Executive and sales team
  • Provide product performance reporting for Insert program and Merchandising team members
  • Act as support to the VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing for special reporting or requests on demand

  • Ensure clean, accurate, and complete data in both report sources and in deliverable reports.
  • Define and develop marketing campaign performance reports
  • Work to connect data across different channels and platforms (such as Google Analytics, social media, email service providers, our point of sale system, and other internal databases) to develop a clear picture of a customer's omnichannel relationship
  • Continually look for ways to streamline and improve the report process and our internal Data Warehouse
  • Work with Information Systems to automate reports for store locations and Headquarters
  • Seek out and integrate new analytics tools
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand and solve business problems using data analysis
  • Act as liaison between business and technical teams to drive results through delivery of impactful analytic insights

  • Act as an internal resource for our operations team to provide help, training, presentations, and support, specifically on the importance of data integrity and the Customer Database, Data Warehouse, CRD, and price plans.
  • Define customer profile(s) and develop customer segmentation for both existing and prospective loyal customers through internal and outsourced customer analytics
  • Develop and define trade area for each retail location through collaboration with Real Estate team
  • Negotiate annual mail-list agreement for companywide advertising campaigns, as well as the updating and maintenance of mail-list throughout the year

MISCELLANEOUS:

  • Assists primary facilitator of customer communications phone line and email system
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures when carrying out position responsibilities
  • Attends and participates in team meetings, training sessions, and company-sponsored programs as required
  • Provides administrative support to Director of Marketing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Google Analytics certification or related experience
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Word & Excel and other computer software applications at an intermediate level
  • Ability to learn and effectively use analytical software with limited training or resources
  • Ability to utilize excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be agile and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to utilize strong multi-tasking, organizational, prioritization, and follow-up skills necessary for managing multiple marketing issues and projects at one time in a professional manner, both under minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, and employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

WORK AVAILABILITY

  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management
  • Must be regularly available and willing to work a fulltime business schedule or such other hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
  • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires occasional travel to support corporate sponsorships and related activities.
  • Requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license and must meet company driving requirements.
  • Requires current liability insurance on personal vehicle as per company policy
