We are looking for a senior administrative assistant to support
the mission of the Honors College. Our academic unit provides
courses, advising, scholarships, co-curricular activities and
mentoring to over 2000 undergraduate students at Texas State
University. Facilities housed in the unit include classrooms,
computer lab, study rooms and a coffee forum and art gallery. We
provide an innovative and diverse community of academic inquiry for
students seeking to challenge themselves.
Supervise student workers to ensure visitors to the college are
welcomed and experience a positive interaction.
Maintain and oversee correspondence and communication by phone,
email and our website. Schedule Honors events, make travel
arrangements, and collaborate with numerous other campus
Order supplies for office needs and the coffee forum and
coordinate the maintenance of Honors College space with campus
Oversee planning and execution of Honors College events such as
awards ceremonies, conferences, and gallery openings.
Maintain accounting and budgeting information as well as all
other clerical work related to purchasing, travel reimbursements,
student records and hiring of adjunct faculty.
Create spreadsheets and monitor and analyze data to provide
statistical and budget reports.
Assist in the production of the Honors College course schedule
and other academic support such as book orders and evaluation and
