Vocational Training School located in the beautiful Texas Hill
Country in the great city of San Marcos. We specialize in helping
young adults achieve training in a variety of vocational fields to
obtain long term career success! POSITION SUMMARY Responsible to
provide students with transitional support and placement services
leading to full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training.
Works cooperatively with Career Technical Training and Career
Transition staff to provide students with comprehensive and
individualized case management to identify and remediate students
transitional barriers. Uses proper discretion and judgment to
resolve issues and ensure student success after Job Corps. Conducts
effective community job development activities with key business
and community leaders. MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION N/A
RESPONSIBILITIES o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures
and ensures no manipulation of student data. o Supports educational
and related placement goals for assigned students. o Ensures
Contract meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals. o
Establishes supportive/mentoring relationships with students during
the Career Transition Phase. o Provides personalized career
counseling and evaluates student performance. o Oversees, develops,
monitors, and updates student transition plans to ensure successful
outcome. o Develops Center-beneficial business and community
linkages that provide students with quality and industry relevant
employment opportunities. o Produces quality work/assignments in a
thorough, timely and accurate manner. o Maintains appropriate
personal attendance, accountability and work productivity
standards. o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet
established goals and deadlines. o Understands and applies job
knowledge to effectively complete all required job
responsibilities. Proactively maintains the skills required to
perform job duties. o Mentors, monitors and models the Career
Success Standards as required by the PRH. Page 2 of 2 This job

supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift

student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of
programs and services. o Exchanges ideas and information, both
orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and
contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant
ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to
DOL/Company when requested. o Effectively articulates thoughts and
ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates
appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions.
Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action and that problems
are in fact corrected. o Works in partnership with staff from all
Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are
provided to students. o Accepts direction and supervision from the
Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include
assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other
departments and positions. o Other duties as assigned. Adams and

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in human services,
psychology, counseling, education, social science, business,
communications, or closely related field from an accredited school;
or Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling,
education, social science, business, communications, or closely
related field from an accredited school and two years related
experience. Must possess a valid in-state Drivers License and meet
the Company insurability requirements. Adams and Associates is an
