Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet

position.+ Administrative skills to manage events (both onsite and
offsite) and execute associated planning, scheduling and
paperwork.+ Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in
speaking to large groups of people.+ Communication skills to
effectively work with a wide range of students, library staff
colleagues, university faculty, and higher university
administration.+ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage
multiple tasks simultaneously.+ Knowledge of database or
spreadsheet development and maintenance.+ Problem solving and
decision-making skills.+ Clerical skills to use a computer, phone,
fax, calculator, copier and filing system.+ Reading ability.+
Writing ability.+ Math ability to oversee events budget.+ Ability
to work some evening and weekend hours for special events.+ Perform
physical tasks as required.+ Driving ability as required.Preferred
Qualifications+ Experience managing public events.+ Experience
giving tours to members of the public.+ Knowledge of and experience
with using audio/visual/lighting components of a public event
system.+ Supervisory experience.Job DescriptionManage and oversee
entire process of Wittliff Collections events, including the
management of planning for Wittliff-organized events, both on and
off site; facilitate all planning for non-Wittliff-organized events
occurring on-site; serve as house manager for all on-site events,
regardless of organizer. Master and implement Wittliffs complex
event audio and video equipment. Manage incoming tour requests and
provide tours for external and TXST visitors. Establish and manage
Wittliff Student Docent program.Job Duties+ Manage all
Wittliff-organized on-site events by working with appropriate
curator to plan and execute all details for event, including run of
show, setup, and all video, audio (including amplified sound for
live music events) and lighting needs.+ Manage Facility Use
Requests and work with Wittliff Collections Director for approval
process.+ Serve as House Manager for All On-Site Events.+ Manage
incoming tour and instruction requests by assessing the type of
tour or instruction needed and coordinating with appropriate
Wittliff staff.+ Develop and manage relationships with both
administrative and academic departments on campus to create and
support collaborative programming for student engagement.+ Provide
primary backup coverage for administrative office operation,
including general customer service, answering telephones, bookshop
sales, management of student staff, and addressing facilities
