POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a responsible, dedicated individual to join our Safety & Security Department The Safety & Security Officer's duties and responsibilities include:

• Being someone who can be relied upon to take proactive steps in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Patrolling the premises of the Job Corps campus, observing and investigating suspicious behavior, enforcing policies, and preparing incident reports.
• Committed to ensure the safety and security of people and property.
• Ability to to work collaboratively with all members of the Safety & Security department and the overall Job Corps Center
• The ability to be highly attentive to irregularities and capable of sound judgment in difficult situations.
• Ultimately, a top-notch Safety & Security Officer is focused and detail-oriented, but also empathetic to our student population.
• Provide a safe and secure living and working environment for students and staff.
• Assists in the investigation of accidents and incidents with the goal of resolution and reduction of future occurrences.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred.
  • Prefer Job Corps or related program experience.
  • Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
