As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more . As an Armed Patrol Officer at this shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry a sidearm while conducting routine patrols and responding to situations as needed. You will interact with staff and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.Monitor the location for unusual activity and report any security-related incidents according to established protocols.Assist with access control by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered during patrols.Collaborate with shelter staff and other personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.Minimum Requirements:
Must possess a valid Texas Armed Security Professional License.Must be designated and authorized to carry an armed sidearm as required by the position.Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or possess a college degree.A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Perks and Benefits:
