Job Description:

As a Psychiatric RN you will:

?Provide nursing care requiring specialized psychiatric and mental health clinical skills within the scope of Home Health to patients with physical and mental illness, late life depression and substance abuse concerns.

?Provide direct patient care under physician's orders utilizing nursing theory, skills and techniques.

?Provide instruction and supervision of LVNs/ LPNs and Home Health Aides.

?Assume responsibility for patient admissions, establishing plans of care, care coordination, recertification and planning discharges.

Requirements of Qualified Candidates

?Diploma or AA degree in nursing with at least 2 years recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program, or

?Baccalaureate in nursing with at least one year recent nursing experience, recommended to be within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program, or

?Master?s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing with at least one year recent nursing experience, recommended being within the last 3 years, in a psychiatric or mental health home care program or an acute psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient program

?Current CPR certification

?Ability to function independently

?Have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of work hours

?Ability to travel to business locations

?Excellent written and oral communication skills
