Title: Senior Medical Director / Principal Investigator Clinical

Full-time, W-2 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM About the Role
Medix is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Director (SMD) to
lead clinical research programs and provide strategic medical
leadership across multiple therapeutic areas. This role is ideal
for a research-driven physician passionate about advancing clinical
innovation and improving patient outcomes through evidence-based
medicine. As the Senior Medical Director, you ll serve as a
Principal or Sub-Investigator , oversee study execution, ensure
regulatory compliance, and mentor junior investigators. You ll also
collaborate with sponsors, CROs, and community partners to drive
clinical trial success and organizational growth. Key
Responsibilities Serve as Principal Investigator (PI) or
Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) for clinical trials conducted at our
Clinical Research Center. Ensure participant safety and data
integrity in compliance with GCP/HSP guidelines. Collaborate with
leadership to identify new research programs and therapeutic areas.
Build and maintain partnerships with community physicians and
organizations to support patient recruitment and enrollment. Review
protocols, assess study feasibility, and provide clinical oversight
during execution. Mentor and train clinical staff and investigators
on study protocols and therapeutic areas. Participate in strategic
discussions shaping the research center s future direction.
Maintain clinical expertise in adult chronic disease management.
Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S. medical
school. Active medical license and board certification required.
Minimum 8 years of experience in U.S. community healthcare,
including chronic disease management . At least 2 years of
experience in FDA clinical research as a Principal or
Sub-Investigator. Experience as a PI on GLP-1 studies lasting 12
months or longer preferred but not required Strong leadership,
